Gaia uses the mythical mineral adamant to create the legendary scythe with which Kronos castrates his father Uranus. The blood of Uranus spills across the earthly ground, and from it there came forth the Gigantes (the Giants) and the Erinyes, whilst from his testacles that fall into the ocean the birth of Aphrodite, goddess of sexual love, is manifested.
