Caring for Gold K18 & Sterling Silver.

 

Kactri's jewelry are handcrafted from 18K Gold and Sterling Silver. Your sterling silver may tarnish. The proper care, storage and cleaning of your jewelry will help maintain the appearance of your piece. 

 

Always put on your jewelry last to avoid contact with hair products, perfumes, cosmetics or lotions. Overtime, these products will build residue on your jewelry.

 

Do not wear jewelry in the ocean, hot tub, sauna, pool, bath or shower as water, heat or chlorine will damage your piece.

 

Use caution when using sterling silver cleansers or jewelry solvents as they may remove the unique finish of your design. Be sure you are using the proper liquid cleanser.

Exposure to air and humidity will increase the tarnishing of your jewelry. Store each piece separately in the suede pouch provided to avoid contact and scratching from other jewelry. To keep your jewelry in its original form, use often enough a polishing cloth or a cotton cloth.

Caring for doublet stones.

Doublets are composite & handcrafted stones that require special care. To maintain the shine of your doublet jewelry:

• In order to clean, wipe your piece with a soft cloth.

• Remove any doublet ring before washing your hands.

• Do not place a doublet stone in water or solvent cleaning solutions.

• Do not wear doublet jewelry in the sea, hot tub, sauna, pool, bath or shower as water, heat or chlorine will damage your piece.

• Store doublet jewelry in a pouch or jewelry case to avoid contact with other pieces in your collection.

Enamel and liquid glass jewelry.

​

Liquid glass and enamel are resins. To maintain their appearance and shine, you should not expose these jewelry to moisture, sunlight, or seawater for long periods of time.
